My Students
We are a first-grade French immersion class! my co-teacher and I are new to this grade level, and this is only the 3rd first grade class in our relatively new French Immersion program!
We are still working on fleshing out our classrooms with supplies.
Enthusiastic creative first graders consume supplies at a brisk pace, so we need to stock up after being in school for six weeks already!
Our kids this year come from diverse backgrounds. We have kids with families from all over the world! At our school, we don't just speak French. We also speak English, and lots of us speak Spanish, German, Turkish, and many other languages! We celebrate our diversity!
We need some basic school supplies. Our school and parents have been great about providing many supplies, but we run out of things fast because our little critters are so creative. I'm asking for supplies in bulk so they last us a while and so we don't have to always be begging someone for more.

My kids love the Dog Man books from the writer of Captain Underpants!
We only have one Dog Man book right now, so I want to add a few more to our collection. They love it!
I'm asking for 24 pairs of scissors because some of ours got lost, and I also donated about 20 pairs of scissors to a teacher at our school who needed scissors badly.
We have a bin of markers in our writing center. Most of them are old, and our supply is dwindling.
This kind of handwriting paper is great for primary kids. Some of my kids like to write on college-ruled paper, which I have, but I need plenty of this primary-ruled paper for those kids who are still gaining confidence in their writing.
The construction paper is important to have on hand when my kids have choice time and want to do arts and crafts. I also use the paper for Word Study (spelling) projects and explicit art instruction.
We need a reliable pencil sharpener. The one we have is a manual one from the 20th century. It does not sharpen well and is too difficult for little hands to use.
