Help me give my students a real first dance experience. These dance leotards will help my dancers feel and look like a team by wearing appropriate dance attire and the tap shoes will allow everyone to dance together!
I am the dance teacher at my school in Brooklyn, NY. My students are kind, hard working, selfless and most importantly, love to dance. They are supportive of one another and my dance team is its own small family.
What I appreciate about my students most is their enthusiasm, drive to learn, and positive attitude.
My Project
I am requesting leotards and tap shoes. The one thing that stands out when you see a team is a uniform. Appropriate clothing for any sport is important, therefore, proper dance attire is imperative for a dance team.
My school is Title I funded, therefore my students can't afford their own dance leotards.
I have been working with local dance organizations and dance studios for gently used dance wear and shoes but there is nothing like having YOUR OWN, brand new, dance clothes and shoes.
My goal is for every one of my 20 dance team students to have their own leotards. In addition, I am in desperate need for upper sized tap dance shoes. Please consider supporting my first ever dance team and giving them their very own dance supplies!
