This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As I work in a ICT classroom, many of my students don't have the opportunity to eat breakfast at home nor come to school equipped. In this project, I am asking on behalf of my students for food and beverage such as Pop Tarts, Mott Juice, chickpea puffs, candy (Hi-Chew, Ring Pops, and Push Pop) to keep them motivated to learn. In addition, the food and beverage will help my students come to school with the expectation something will be there for them. In addition, products such as bath and hand soap, scarfs/mittens/hats, laundry detergent, disinfectant wipes, and napkins will be accompanied in the classroom for any students who need to clean after themselves and be warm to come to school.
In this project, my goal is for students to be more attentive in class and feel safe to come to school.
As my students come from diverse backgrounds, it is important that I make them feel included and nothing less than. I also want to be receptive to students' needs and help families out without pressure.
My students are passionate about education and learning to the smallest details. Furthermore, they like to be inquisitive and learn new things everyday.
