This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Teaching art for the past five years has been a learning experience not only for my students but for myself as well. Unfortunately for the past 3 years I have been operating my art program on a non-existent supply budget.

I serve almost 600 students in an urban k-8 school in the Bronx.

My students are bright, bold and imaginative. They deserve access to some special materials to make their learning experiences memorable. Most of my students are living in poverty situations.

My Project

I am asking for a variety of art materials to bring their creativity to new heights! We need packages of several colors of construction paper, 5 packs of drawing paper, some human body templates, shape templates, craft materials and some plaster for 3D projects.

Help make our art class memorable, I want to build on my student's knowledge of other subjects in a bright, fun way.

Let's show them that school isn't always testing and studying and they deserve the right to creative expression through art!
