My Project

My art project is about helping children release their inner Artist. Like Picasso said, "Every child is an artist." By helping me give children multiple ways to explore different artists and different techniques, children will learn about problem solving and critical thinking. Children will learn to express themselves through art and art can enhance literacy, math, social and emotional skills that are crucial to early childhood development.

By using tempera paint, canvas boards, and paint brushes, children will work on fine motor and critical thinking skills.

They will learn how paint works on many different surfaces, from canvas, cardstock, and plain paper. Fine motor development will continue with the use of pony beads to make bracelets and ornaments. The scented ink pad and the fish stamps will help us talk about our senses and nature. Our literacy skills will be enhanced with the books about artists and how art is in our daily lives.
