it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarteners deserve to learn in a classroom that reflects their worth.
The tables in our classroom are old, peeling, cracked, and damaged.
Every day, my students sit at furniture that looks like it's been through decades of wear. We've taped the sharp edges, patched over splinters, and cleaned them as best we can, but they are simply beyond repair.
My students are brilliant, curious, joyful children and they deserve better. They deserve the same basic tools—like clean, sturdy tables—that are standard in wealthier communities.
Replacing these tables is not just about furniture. It’s about dignity. It’s about sending the message that their learning matters, that they matter.
With your help, I hope to bring in safe, durable tables that will support writing, drawing, exploring, collaborating, and dreaming. These tables will be used every single day for years to come. They’ll help me create a classroom that feels warm, welcoming, and worthy of the incredible kids who show up here ready to learn.
This project is about equity, care, and the kind of learning environment every child deserves—especially in communities where resources have been historically underfunded.
Thank you for believing in our classroom and helping to make this vision a reality.
