Every Child Counts: Multicultural Dolls for Kindergarten Hearts

Help me give my students multicultural dolls, a rocking chair, a doll crib, a doll high chair and a baby doll carrier to support inclusion and imaginative play.

My Project

My kindergarten class is a vibrant and diverse community of young learners who speak four different languages and come from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and countries.

I'm excited to help my students celebrate their diverse backgrounds with materials that encourage empathy and caregiving through meaningful play.

These resources allow children to role-play real-life family scenarios while learning to respect different cultures, skin tones, and family roles. Through this inclusive play, they develop a deeper understanding of themselves and others.

In addition, these tools encourage language development and cooperation through shared pretend play and they also provide comfort and calm—especially the rocking chair and baby carrier—for nurturing, soothing, and modeling positive behavior.

Together, these items enrich the dramatic play area and create a more welcoming, equitable learning environment.
