My students need copy/document holders to hold their computer textbook so that their book won't fall down.
I am a Business Education Teacher in a poverty stricken area located in the upstate portion of South Carolina.
Our school is located in a rural county that struggles with high poverty. At one time this area was a thriving mill town; however, now, many of those families are unemployed. Currently, I teach Digital Literacy and Computer Applications to 6th and 7th Graders in a middle school. The students are your typical middle school student with creative minds and a willingness to learn despite their economic situation.
My Project
The computer textbook that the students use will not stand up on the lab tables and the copyholders that we currently have are broken and held together with duct tape. Since the copyholders are broken the students have to lay their books flat on the table and lean over to view their assignments. This makes it difficult for the students to stay on task since they are continuously losing their place in the book.
It would be awesome if someone would help fund this project for 25 document holders for my Computer Lab.
Students will be able to use the document holders for projects and assignments and will be able to work more efficiently. My project needs 25 document holders for students that will hold their Digital Literacy and Computer Applications textbook.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
