My high school students are members of the local tribes of the Indian Reservation. Many of them come to school hungry and go home to little or no food. For some, school is the place they come to be fed.
We all know that teenagers are HUNGRY, and their growing bodies need to graze often.
I often provide snacks myself, but it gets very expensive. We also have a popcorn machine so that helps with sustainable snacking as long as I am stocked up on popcorn and oil, as I added in this proposal. There are a variety of other snacks listed and a storage system to keep them in so they stay fresh and safe from school mice.
