Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Eureka-we’ve struck gold! History will come alive with fun gold rush activities. We will read these two books- What was the Gold Rush and By the Great Horn Spoon. The 4th grade students will do some square dancing and do some gold panning after they have staked a claim. They will also play some pioneer games-roll the hoop, jacks and marbles. Lastly, the students will have some Gold Rush Grub- baked beans, cornbread and macaroni and cheese. These activities will give students engaging and exciting learning opportunities from the past.
