My Project

I teach a group of wonderful fourth graders! They are curious and love to learn! Our Social Studies curriculum concentrates on our states history. One major aspect of California history is the gold rush. This period of time really facinates my students and they are dying to learn more!

I've found it!

I am requesting funding for gold rush kits and books that will give them more information about the gold rush. My students will "dig for gold" with these kits and see themselves as real gold miners! This activity will bring the unit to life for my students and, they will get to keep the "gold" they discover! Eureka!
