This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have minds of sponges. They love to learn and move. My students are from lower-income families that are sometimes unable to provide supplies for their children for daily lessons. We will be using these materials to facilitate mathematical reasoning and thought. These materials give students a concrete way to understand math standards, giving students real-world opportunities.
The donations to this project will provide my students a chance at experiencing math by doing, not just watching or by memorizing steps.
Their math understanding will flourish with connections to real-world activities.
