This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every year at least one student will quip, "Miss.... when are we going to get to do frog dissection?" In students' minds, most likely from TV shows and movies, high school biology means frog dissection. However, when the time come, most students opt out of doing the dissection.
My project is to provide synthetic KIND Frogs for students who prefer not to dissect real frogs.
Many students are uncomfortable with traditional dissection for ethical, personal, or environmental reasons, and KIND Frogs offer a humane, effective alternative that still delivers a hands-on learning experience. Furthermore, students love to keep the synthetic frog as a memory from high school biology.
