My Students
My students are hard workers, who more often than not, are told life is unfair when they see the world around them through the internet. I'm tired of always explaining to the kids why they can't do something, or have something. All children deserve equal chances, and yes some may see technology as frivolous, but think of the way a child who has never sat in front of a PC will see it, no longer looking behind someone's shoulders online, but seeing it for themselves and experiencing it for the first time in person.
Some of the children lack televisions, consoles, some lack PCs all together, some lack cell phones, but this isn't about what they lack, it's about what they could have.
With this type of gaming hardware available, the students will be able to experience virtual reality, and the students will be able to do themselves what they have only seen others do online.
My Project
The students are looking forward to being able to start an eGaming club where they will be able to participate in the newest field of electronic sports. In order for the students to be able to do electronic sports they need computers capable of handling the different games and sometimes capable of handling multiple monitors and outputs. The general school machines are able to function for school related activities, but the general gaming machine and games that are required for electronic sports require a machine that has a higher capability. The electronic gaming will allow the students to have more buy in to the entire school process, it should be able to help with attendance and generalized morale.
Not only will the machine be able to help with the club aspect but it can be used in the classroom as well to allow the students to use virtual reality to see and experience the different stories they read in their literature class as well as their history classes.
The machine can also be used for science and CTE projects as it will be able to compile and do many different things.
