Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This upcoming school year, I will have the opportunity to educate 36 awesome third graders in the subjects of Math and Science. Although they are not officially in my classroom yet, I have had the honor of being their teacher for a short while when they were in first grade. My students consist of the general population, ESL students, and students with special needs. Approximately 90% of my students come from homes that are economically disadvantaged.
School supplies are crucial for students as they equip them with the necessary tools for learning, boosting their confidence and engagement in the classroom.
The Lysol wipes will be used to disinfect student learning area. The bounty napkins will be used for cleaning up spills. It will also be used to clean hands at our in-class sink. The expos will be used to solve math problems on personal whiteboards. The pencils will be for daily learning. The pencil cases will be for students who do not have one. The laminating sheets will be used to protect student work and student activities. The adhesive dots will be used to display student work. The hall passes will be worn by students when they are traveling through the school.
Unfortunately, some of my students do not come to school with the essential items that they need. For this reason, I am asking for your help so that when my students arrive, they will have everything they need.
