This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! Their enthusiasm for learning never ceases to amaze me. They work hard every day, staying engaged with hands-on activities and games that help them practice their skills and increase their knowledge. I love giving them the opportunity. We are a low socioeconomic area and highly diverse school in Central California. Nearly all of my students' learning happens at school. Most of my students have not traveled beyond our city walls. We are a small school - with a big heart!

My Project

The supplies in this project will be distributed to students in my classroom. Students need toiletries such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, but they also need to know the importance of brushing their teeth. Hand sanitizer and tissues will help stop the spread of germs and allow my students attend class regularly. I can't teach them if they aren't here!

My students need healthy snack options.

Many students have no snack at all, making it very difficult for them to sit through lessons and really listen and learn. As a classroom of older students, we have to wait many hours for lunch. Students will also appreciate lip balm and deodorant to keep in their backpacks.
