This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When we left our classrooms in the middle of March we never imagined that we'd be out of our classroom for the rest of the school year. The kids left their supplies and i just grabbed the school laptop and left thinking that we would be back in a week or 2.

My students are excited to learn and use new technology.

My students depend on my ability to navigate new technology and programs to support their learning.

Despite the hardships we are facing with school being closed, my students deserve the best support and guidance I can give them. While using outdated technology, I can't give them that.

My Project

When we left our classrooms in the middle of March we never imagined that we'd be out of our classroom for the rest of the school year. The kids left their supplies and I just grabbed the school laptop and left thinking that we would be back in a week or 2. I have a personal Surface Pro at home but I am finding it very difficult it to write on the tablet with a stylus and hard to navigate around the numerous sites and pages with just my fingers.

With the stylus and mouse, my lessons will be more clear especially when I am live remote teaching.

The handwriting and note taking will be more legible and easier for the children to follow along. Right now I am writing with my finger and notes are messy and it's tedious to erase things. Decimal points and place values are difficult to show because things are not lined up correctly.

With the mouse, I will be more efficient and better to navigate the various pages and websites involved in distance learning.
