This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are strong and resilient adolescents who face many challenges. They come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community. My students also face challenges due to language barriers and different disabilities.

My students are creative, clever and very enthusiastic about learning despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners.

All of my students are on alternate curriculum. They would benefit from a variety of classroom resources to help increase their success as most of my students do not have access to supplies in their homes.

My Project

Please help me give my students learning materials for home and distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students are not able to leave their homes due to the quarantine in Los Angeles and many of their parents have lost their jobs. My students need whiteboards to engage in learning from home, snacks, and art materials for hands-on learning.

My students need whiteboards and markers for everyday learning and art materials for their end of unit project.

With this project you will help me provide my students with snacks and the materials they need to finish the school year from home.
