Help me give my students a sharpener so that they can have sharpened pencils and a large box of Crayola markers so they can illustrate their drawings.

My Students
At my school I teach 30 second grade students in which I care about deeply. They truly are the best. These students live in a large urban school district that is under funded. They come from many different ethnic backgrounds and frequently they are missing the building blocks they need for success. Many of my students come to class without the materials that they need to be successful. This year it has been very challenging just trying to keep copybooks, folders and sharpened pencils for my students.
How can my students learn if they don't even have a sharpened pencil?
Giving my students every advantage is the best way that I can help them. Giving them the basics is just the beginning of this long journey.
My Project
Every year I purchase many supplies for my class with my own money. My school district DOES NOT supply crayons, construction paper, pencils, glue, markers, scissors or pencil sharpeners.
Electric pencil sharpeners are expensive but needed because when it is time to sharpen pencils we need it to be fast and not take up a lot of time.
Markers are needed for the students to be able to decorate their illustrations for their book that they publish and for their everyday writing pieces.
I always go shopping in the summer to try to get sales on some of the supplies but these a lot of markers and 2 pencil sharpeners can be pricey.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
