This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We're a little over halfway through the school year and student's writing tools have been used really well. From whiteboard markers to pencils and even colors, everything has been used through the days. The students write daily for all subjects and in different ways. For example their whiteboard erasers and markers are used daily for Math activities. They will use them to review for math application problems that involve multiplication and division. Students have a variety of activities all which they use their writing tools for. It can get hard for students to focus on an activity when their tools are in need of replacing.
It's time to update students' writing tools so they can continue to focus on their learning and not on the lack of materials.
My students will be able to get an update on the resources they use daily. They need new highlighters to highlight and annotate the texts they read. This will help their comprehension skills. They need pencils to write rough drafts and flair pens to write their final drafts when publishing their work. They will definitely be using these materials in preparation for Open House. They'll use their color pencils to bring color to their drawings. They will use them during Art projects they'll be displaying for their parents.
