My Project
Essential Wellness is a student led initiative that will not only impact the students in our class, but the broader school community as well as underserved families in the community. We are a small rural isolated community in SE Oklahoma. Finding creative solutions for providing services and products for our school and community are essential for our success.
I have some amazing young students in my physical education/health class who are striving to make a difference in the health and wellness of our student body.
As part of this initiative students have been working to secure essential items including detergent, soap, deodorant, as well as tape and bandages to promote health and wellness for our school and community. With your help our students will be able to put together wellness packages to help our underserved population to meet basic wellness needs. These students are learning that meeting basic wellness needs not only promotes physical health, but mental and emotional health as well.
