My Project
Our school offers unique, hands-on programming that allows students to build work stamina and develop essential professional skills through participation in internships, externships, and transition-focused instruction. The materials requested in this project will directly support our students' continued growth by providing the tools needed to operate our on-campus internships at full capacity and align them with real-world industry standards.
Our student-run internships are modeled after jobs in fields such as warehousing, coffee service, car washing, housekeeping, and custodial work.
One essential item, a refrigerator, will support students in our culinary instruction program as they learn to prepare and store meals for themselves — an important step toward independent living. Other requested items will contribute to campus beautification and provide students with a sense of ownership and pride in their learning environment. A file cabinet will allow us to store important documents in a safe and secure location. Additionally, the printer will enable us to create visual materials — such as posters and enlarged content — to support students with vision and communication needs.
