My students need crayons so that they can keep on coloring all year long!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Wachtel's classroom raised $477

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the privilege of teaching 20 amazing students, the majority of whom are English Learners and are served by the free and reduced lunch program in California. At my school, there are 12 other classes just like mine full of children who desperately want to learn and thrive.
Unfortunately, we just found out that not only are we about to run out of funding for supplies but that we also must cut an additional $200,000 from our current budget this year! This means that basic resources we consider essential for learning may not be available to us much longer.
I am trying to think of creative ways to make sure that our students get the learning tools they deserve. I am asking for your support in supplying us with enough crayons to last us through this year and hopefully into next year. If we can have the security of knowing that there will be crayons for all students at our school to use across all content areas and grade levels ranging from learning how not to "scribble scrabble" in kindergarten to how to illustrate a book in fourth grade, then there will be one less thing for us to worry about.
I know it may seem silly to supply us with crayons, but I can guarantee you that your support will have an enormous impact on every single student, parent and teacher committed to our school. Together, we can!
