My Project

As a new teacher from the Philippines in my first year of teaching in Chicago, I’m honored to work with an incredible group of diverse young learners. Many of my students face unique challenges, including special needs, and come from varied cultural backgrounds. My goal is to create an engaging, supportive, and nurturing learning environment that meets each student where they are and helps them grow.

To do this, I’m seeking support to acquire essential learning materials—resources that go beyond the basics and truly make a difference.

With your help, I plan to provide my students with materials that will help them master foundational skills in literacy and numeracy. These include:

• Alphabet and Number Manipulatives: Magnetic letters, decodables, tracing sets, and other hands-on resources that support early literacy and math skills, allowing students to explore and understand letters and numbers in an interactive way.

• Visual and Tactile Learning Tools: Ten frames, counting toys, math games, hot dots, and other Items that appeal to all senses, helping children with diverse learning needs and abilities feel engaged and motivated.

• Flexible Classroom Materials: Adaptable resources that promote inclusion and allow each student to learn at their own pace.

My students inspire me daily with their enthusiasm and resilience, and I am dedicated to creating a classroom that is both inclusive and inspiring. However, to make this vision a reality, I need support from compassionate people like you. Any contribution, no matter how small, will directly impact my students’ learning experience and help set them on a path toward a bright future.
