My Project
If this project is fully funded, I will purchase a reliable refrigerator for our classroom. This essential appliance will be used to safely store fresh ingredients, student-prepared meals, and perishable items such as fruits, vegetables, dairy, and proteins. With this refrigerator, students will be able to engage in hands-on cooking lessons, store their own meals safely, and participate in nutrition-focused activities that bring our curriculum to life. These real-world learning experiences will not only strengthen their academic understanding of health and wellness but also build valuable life skills like meal planning, food safety, and responsibility.
My goal is to create a safe, functional space where students can learn about healthy eating and self-care in a practical way.
The refrigerator will allow us to reduce food waste by storing leftovers, extend the use of fresh ingredients across multiple lessons, and support students who bring meals from home that require refrigeration. Ultimately, this project supports a classroom environment where learning extends beyond textbooks, giving students access to tools that empower them both in and out of school.
My students are incredibly resilient, creative, and eager to learn. Many of them face challenges outside of school, yet they show up every day ready to grow. For some, school is not only a place for learning but also a dependable source of nutrition and stability. By funding this project, you’ll be helping students who truly deserve every opportunity to thrive—academically, personally, and nutritionally. Thank you for helping us build a healthier, more supportive classroom for every learner.
