Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from various cultural backgrounds and social economic levels. A majority of them come from households who are working class and immigrants from all over the world. Regardless of that they are all enthusiastic learners willing to work together face to face online and other online platforms to continue their learning. Majority of them have access to reliable internet but there are some who have the inability to access reliable internet to connect with our class.
My Project
My students need the supplies to function outside of the classroom as if they were in the classroom. They need notebooks to communicate their ideas, feelings, and thoughts. These notebooks allow them to have a place to organize their thoughts and reflect on what they are learning.
Writers, Readers, and Math Workshop all involve sharing one's ideas.
The notebooks provide a place for the students to share what they know and have learned and provide teachers with one way of assessing their students progress to plan their learning path.
These are essential materials students need to do their job, to learn!
