Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are bright beautiful children who are engaged in learning. Over half of my students are from low socioeconomic households that do not have access to a lot of resources. Most of my students are also first generation Hispanics with parents that speak little to no English which is a huge challenge when it comes to communicating student needs. Overall, my students are progressing and always eager to learn. I just want to have everything they need so that the foundation I provide is a solid one.
My Project
My students need somewhere to put their completed work and pockets for the chair backs are convenient and don’t take away space in the classroom. I also have some materials that would be used for centers, these items will go hand in hand with our everyday learning. The materials for the centers will keep the students engaged. The Circle Time learning center chart will help to pull our day together and keep the classroom focus in front of my students. The comfy chairs will provide a great space for the students to sit and read and just enjoy a get big comfy chair to read in!
