it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Starting off your schooling is always an exciting and nervous time. Making sure my Kindergartners are set and prepared when they walk through my door is one way I can help them feel welcome and excited to be there. The items we are hoping to get make the beginning of our year off to a great start!
One thing that my students love is play-doh.
I like to teach by doing hands-on activities. By using play-doh, they are able to use it in a way to further their learning and have fun at the same time. Someways we use the play-doh is during our math lessons. Instead of using cubes or other items, we make little balls or something else they choose to make and help us learn to count.
Another item that the kids love to play with, but don't realize they are learning, are our whiteboards. We use these so many different way! From learning to write, counting items, and free draw, whiteboards are very essential to our classroom. The kids get so excited when we get to use our whiteboards.
