it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Starting off your schooling is always an exciting and nervous time. Making sure my Kindergartners are set and prepared when they walk through my door is one way I can help them feel welcome and excited to be there. The items we are hoping to get make the beginning of our year off to a great start!
There are many items on this list that we use every single day.
The most important item we use everyday is our writing journals. By writing in our journals everyday, kids are able to strengthen their reading skills too. The students love adding pictures to their writing and showing off their work to their classmates. Another item we really like to have in the class are snacks. I use this for students that either are hungry throughout the day (it's a big adjustment for some kids not being able to eat whenever they want) or for class parties. We can't forget about Kleenex's! These Kindergarteners are always in need of tissues.
