This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how resilient, kind, and full of potential my students are. Every day, they show up ready to learn, build friendships, and work hard — even when life outside the classroom presents real challenges. Many of my students face barriers that make it difficult to meet their basic needs, but their spirits remain bright and their dreams stay big.

By providing hygiene kits, we can help remove one of those barriers.

Having access to items like soap, toothpaste, deodorant, and other essentials helps students feel clean, confident, and ready to engage fully in the classroom. When kids don’t have to worry about things like hygiene, they can focus on what truly matters — learning, collaborating, and growing. These resources will empower my students to feel comfortable and cared for, setting them up for success both academically and socially.
