My Students

My classroom consists of amazing, diverse third graders of all abilities! Our school consists of 50.2% economically

disadvantaged students.

Many of my students report they do not have access to books at home.

These sweet 8 and 9 year old students come from many different backgrounds, both ethnically and socio-economically. My students are mathematicians, book-loving, avid readers, and enthusiastic learners. They work hard and they love to learn.

My Project

These materials will be used on a daily basis for all lessons. The portable board and markers will be used during daily lessons for both math and literacy. These essential supplies will make a difference in the efficiency of whole group and small group lessons! The whiteboard and related supplies will enable me to teach my lessons where students are able to see the anchor charts easily, regardless of where they are sitting. The banners, pencils, hooks and magnets will aid students during all lessons each day. For example, many of these materials will be used during number talks and routines, which help students understand a variety of mathematical concepts. In addition, these materials will be used during shared reading lessons, where I will focus on essential standards students are required to learn as third graders.
