Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my second grade classroom, organization and hands-on learning are key to helping my students thrive. To maintain a smooth, efficient, and engaging learning environment, I am seeking funding for essential classroom supplies like laminating sheets, sheet protectors, labels, pencil sharpeners, dry erasers, and dry erase pouches.
These materials might seem small, but they make a huge difference in how effectively I can teach and how my students can learn.
Laminating sheets and sheet protectors help me create reusable learning materials that save time and reduce waste. Labels keep our classroom organized, helping students know where to find and return materials independently, organize their folders, and label their materials with their names. Pencil sharpeners ensure that writing and drawing tools are always ready to go, while dry erase markers and pouches allow for fun, interactive practice on countless lessons.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, many with limited access to these important materials at home. Having these tools in the classroom means they can practice skills over and over, receive personalized feedback, and take ownership of their learning in an engaging way.
With these supplies, I can prepare durable, reusable materials that support literacy, math, and fine motor skill development. They help keep the classroom organized and interactive, allowing students to stay focused and motivated throughout the day.
