At my school, the children are creative and enthusiastic about learning. Especially when it comes to cutting edge technology. Their faces light up when they are fully engaged in technology, gaming, engineering, and scientific experiments.
I feel giving them the tools needed to conquer the essential 8 technologies will allow them to explore our ever-evolving technological landscape.
I am proud to share that our student population is all-inclusive of students from a wide range of different backgrounds and perspectives, as well as, a diverse population of students with disabilities.
I know my children will be grateful for anything and everything that promotes a comfortable environment, 21st-century activities, and mind provoking play. I will be working with at least 500 different students K-5 who love learning, school, and technology!
My Project
This is so exciting! My students will be ecstatic to learn we are adding more dash robots and Ozobots to our collection. They already love working with them and now we will have more, which means more children can get be involved and work directly with a robot. Of course, they will love adding some new robots into the mix, which is why I am getting Sphero RVR, Ollie, Bolt, and the mini collection. The children can expand their coding expertise with this new collection. Let's not forget 'Cue", this robot is for our older children and a little more advanced than Sphero. "Cue" will help me differentiate and add rigor to my lessons. For our younger coders, they will fall in love with Osmo - Coding Starter Kit for iPad. Of course, all of these robots need iPads so that they can be programmed and we can update.
Wait until they see the new drones, we have never worked with them before.
With blended learning this year, we are encouraged to go outside, what a better way to spend time working with our new drones. And, did I mention the merge cubes because we can't always go outside.
Of course, I saved the best for last, 3D printing, and 3D pens will appeal to my creative and artistic students. If you can dream it you can create it. They will love making designs and watching their designs come to life. They can physically hold their dreams after they create it with a printer or a pen.
Lastly, safety is so important this year, I added some cleaning supplies so these tools can be wiped down and shared among the grades.
