My Project
At our middle school, we are starting an esports team now that our enrichment program is over. The esports program is a way for students to be part of a team and play against other students their own age.
An eSports program not only provides a fun and engaging way for students to socialize and compete, but esports can also teach valuable skills like teamwork, communication, and critical thinking.
Esports can also improve cognitive abilities. Video games require a lot of quick thinking, decision making, and hand-eye coordination. In addition, esports can offer a sense of community and social connection. Players can join teams and compete together, forming strong bonds and friendships.
As this team is new, I would like to provide t-shirts and incentives for participation. My hope is that students will be more connected to their school and community as part of a team, as many students have not been part of a team before in their school career.
