My Project
As of 2019, eSports is an official interscholastic high school sports activity. Joining the prestigious title with such sports like chess and bass fishing, eSports is an equipment and technology-heavy activity. My students have been practicing, competing, growing, and learning throughout the year. However, they are unable to be competitive in some titles due to the hardware that we have. Our 5-year-old desktops are starting to show their age, and there is not enough equipment to allow all students to join and play.
With these graphics cards, we can upgrade our aging 1050 ti cards to better functioning cards that will enable students to be more competitive.
We currently have a modge podge of desktops, which lets some students play some titles while others are forced to play less demanding ones. With 3 modern graphics cards, we can upgrade 3 of our desktops to 6 higher-quality machines capable of playing Marvel Rivals. This will enable us to field one team into this new game title. Additionally, by using standard parts, this project ensures that, in the future, these parts will move on and still be used when we upgrade our CPUs from the 10400/8400 CPUs and DDR4 RAM they currently are.
