This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
There are a total of 8 classes and in each class, students are given raffle tickets daily throughout the class period for participating, following directions, use of word-word to translation dictionaries and etc. in each class period. At the end of the week on Thursday 's and Friday's, students are entered into a raffle where 10-15 students can win snacks each week in each class. In addition, the donations of snacks and breakfast snacks, our students will be able to receive a breakfast even after they arrive to school late and or if they are hungry throughout the morning. This will encourage students to focus on class more now that their basic needs are being met. As stated previously, the snacks will also serve as incentives for students and will impact students' performance by creating a daily reminder system that the students will be able to be rewarded for staying consistent, on task, focused and working towards learning daily standards that are being taught within classes throughout the day.
