ESL Students Needs to Learn English Foundational Skills
Help me give my students the best education and experience possible while they are here. All my students are multilingual learners, and they need to increase their English Language Proficiency to develop their English skills!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I am teaching ESL, and our school has a very large immigrant population with students coming from countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other Asian countries just to name a few. While many of them are literate in their home languages, Urdu/Farsi and Pashto, they use different characters and concepts of print than English. They use Arabic script with different characters. That being said, some of them are struggling learning foundational skills such as letter recognition, consonant and vowel sounds, and sight words.
However, I am blown away by their resilience, hard work, and energy that my students bring to school each day.
These phonics resources I am requesting will help give students additional practice as they develop their English skills. I am also requesting fruit snacks to keep students energized throughout the school day.
