My Students
Our middle school has approximately 800 students. We are a diverse community school in a large school district. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds but all have a willingness to learn. Many of our teachers are innovators in their fields and are trying to accommodate the needs of all of our students.
Our students are energetic and love to learn.
They are curious about the world around them but also want to have at school. I would love to see more community and parent involvement at our school and have some fun and engaging activities during the school day or after school.
My Project
My students love to be engaged during class. One way that I have found that makes the lessons fun and engaging is through breakout rooms. These fun lessons get students working together to solve puzzles while learning or reviewing content information. One way to make a breakout room is with various kinds of locks that have to be opened to get to the clue inside of a box.
This project is for various kinds of locks as well as other items to give my classroom a more "homey" feeling.
The lights are needed to light up the back of my room when the overhead lights are out. The backrest pillow will be a nice addition to my "lounge" area of my classroom where students can choose to sit when doing independent work. Making the classroom more aesthetically pleasing and the lessons more engaging makes for a great classroom experience!
