Escape Room Resources For Social Studies

Help me give my students additional locks to create more elaborate escape rooms and to replace damaged locks that have been used in the past. Hasps will also allow me to lock multiple boxes with multiple locks.

My Students

My students live in a small community in Southern Indiana. A lot of our students come from rural areas and although we are close to the cultural diversity of a college town my students are fairly isolated to practices from around the world. I have taught math, social studies, and personal finance.

My students are passionate about choice in their education and enjoy flexible seating options, project-based learning, and engaging activities that challenge them to think critically about the learning objectives.

My Project

Meaningful learning experiences are important to my students. Escape rooms provide a challenging way to introduce critical thinking and problem solving surrounding the social studies content that students are learning. These resources will allow me to replace certain locks but also add additional components to expand how I am currently able to do escape rooms with students.

Many students have expressed their love for escape room activities that they have completed in my class.

These resources will be used to continue to create exciting and challenging learning opportunities for students.
