Escape Room Extravaganza!

My Students

My band students are dedicated, hard working and fun! They know that the bar is set high and constantly amaze me by soaring over it day after day, year after year. Every year they participate in concerts, festivals, parades and other events around the community and proudly display their learning and their Bobcat Pride in a way that no other curriculum in our school does. It's so amazing to see!

I am so proud to be a part of this program, this school and this community!

My Project

Escape Rooms are all the rage both in entertainment AND in classrooms! Not only are they a great way to get students up out of their seats, but they get them thinking creatively and collaboratively, all while having fun AND learning! We can use the challenges to reinforce vocabulary, note and rhythm reading, articulations and so much more! Similar to the Escape Rooms that are for entertainment, students will solve puzzles based on the target skills and have to "unlock" the next tasks in order to reach the final goals.

I have done some very rudimentary Escape Room type activities with my students and their excitement was palpable!

I would like to purchase the supplies to make the Escape Room challenges more fun, creative, challenging and rewarding for my students. Purchasing items such as locks, UV flashlights and pens, books, envelopes and red decoding film that can be used over and over again will bring these exciting challenges to life!
