My Project
I am requesting 2 types of materials for my classroom:
1st--- BOOKS!!
My 30+ year old school was remolded last summer. Most of my personal classroom library was not allowed to return. Therefore, my classroom library is very small. The books on my "wish list" are perfect for my 2nd graders.
These books will help build my students' confidence while transitioning from picture books to reading more complex books. These are "easy read" chapter books with short chapters and illustrations----perfect for my students. Book series is a main focus in our reading curriculum. This is the year students begin to develop an understanding of character traits. These engaging books are just what I need to hook my students into books.
2nd--SEL ITEMS---- The Pixel Art and Magnetic Blocks will be placed in my "Chill Zone." The chill zone is a place for students to visit for a short time to help calm down/take a break and help them regulate their emotions. These items would be perfect for students who need a short break.
