Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My guitar students from El Paso, Texas are part of a growing guitar program at our Middle School. The program gives my students who are from different cultures and various income levels the opportunity to thrive in the music program throughout the district.
My Project
I have requested six classical acoustic guitars with cases and footstools that will be used by students that are primarily Latino/Hispanic, and who are not able to purchase or acquire a guitar.
Many of my students are deeply interested in music and constantly ask me if they can borrow one the of the school's guitars in order to practice, but we do not have enough guitars to accommodate all.
Any type of donation to this project will positively impact our students and our guitar program. Fine arts and extracurricular activities can make a big difference in their lives and education
