This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a high-poverty school, I have the unique opportunity to work with a group of thirty-three students from varying backgrounds who all contribute unique skills and experiences to our classroom.
Our class is made up of a multilingual and global community of learners, with over half the class speaking a language other than English at home.
These bright, innovative, spunky students are enthusiastic readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists and historians. They deserve the best education in the world!
My Project
My students do a substantial amount of work on the personal whiteboards that they have. The whiteboards are ideal because they allow me to do quick formative assessments on each individual student and also limit the anxiety some students have on putting down writing when it is permanent. However, in order for my students to utilize the whiteboards we already have we need a place to store them and individual erasers for my students to use. That is why I am asking for the whiteboard lapboard supply center and erasers. Students who work hard during these formative assessments will receive Pokemon cards as incentive rewards. Finally, permanent name tags will allow me to save time whenever a guest joins the class by not having to create name tags all over again. Help my students improve their learning by making my classroom a more efficient place, where learning (and not hassle) is front and center! Thank you!
