This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a wide range of cultural, religious and financial backgrounds, and have varying skill levels and math background knowledge. Each one of them brings a unique story to help make our community as diverse and great as it is.
These young people are a fun, energetic, and inquisitive group of young people who have a strong passion for life, learning, and making connections.
They crave structure, routines and like to learn through investigation, discussion and exploration. They light up my life so much and I definitely learn as much from them, in not more, than what they learn from me.
My Project
TI-83 Graphing Calculators will be an important educational tool to help my students grapple with, explore and make sense of the material we learn in Algebra and Geometry classes.
They must have these calculators, and other tools, to help them get the strongest educational experiences and opportunities possible to ensure the highest potential for academic and future success.
This great educational resource will allow them to conduct investigations, explore math, and make connections to the material they learn and their peers. The calculators will also help them understand the importance of precision and accuracy in the work we do.
