Help me give my students the tools they need to provide equity in the classroom. Students should be concerned with learning, not feeling left out because they cannot afford a pencil, highlighter, or pen.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Tell people what you do and they say, "I could never teach 7th Grade Math, let alone be around all those kids at THAT age." That is exactly why I teach, because these students are some of the best students around.
Students with varied backgrounds need role models and people who want to support them.
For many, school is the safest place to be. While at school, let's ensure they are learning the tools that will make them successful in the future. Teachers who "require" materials do not look at the equity or stress that this puts our students.
