My Students

I teach in the inner city of Hartford,CT with incredible scholars who are active, creative, and curious about many things. Many of my scholars love every opportunity to explore their loves outside of their academic classes. I never want the lack of equitable and quality supplies to stop them from what they love.

My Project

Unfortunately much of the art supplies I currently have for my scholars are either so old that they don't work well anymore and/or there are less of them. Last year we had to make do with these supplies and it was not an easy feat. Many of my scholar though very excited to expand their creative minds, were also discouraged when I had to tell them that we could not do certain activities they were looking forward to because we unfortunately could not get he supplies.

With the help of Donor's Choose in getting supplies such as paint, canvas paper, and an easel my hope is for my scholar to have an equitable experience in the the visual arts, just like I did when I was their age.

The fact that they can get the opportunity to actually work with different medium and unleash their limitless potential make me so happy.
