My Project
This will be used to purchase resources used to make my classroom as supportive and representative as possible.
As I transition to third grade, I envision a classroom where students are building their character.
In order to do this as best as possible, I want a classroom where all students see themselves.
Teachers Pay Teachers provides a community where teachers empower each other. On there I have seen many interesting projects, posters, handouts, extension activities etc. that will promote equity and community in the classroom. Rather than buy off of sites like Amazon, Lakeshore, etc. I would rather spend money supporting other teachers trying to make a real difference.
I will have decor around the room and implement handouts, extra resources and other materials that will help students feel cared for, unique, seen and special.
My school promotes Civic characteristics and goals. We want all of our students to find their voice and use it. In order to maximize this, I believe students need to see themselves, accept themselves, build their persona, comfort and confidence.
These resources will help to maximize my efforts in my classroom now and for years to come!
