My Project

My goal with this project is creating an opportunity for my EL students to receive equitable access to english instruction in class. Having 7 EL students (32% of total class population) speaking 5 non-english languages is a difficult barrier to navigate. With these tablets, students will be able to have a live translation of direct instruction within the classroom; and also have these transcripts to take home for observation. Students will also be empowered to engage in more meaningful conversation with their english speaking peers. I would love to give my learners access to these tools, considering they don't have these opportunities at home!
