Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
SPES is a Title I school that has a lot of low income and first generation American students. Our team at our school are planning to have a reading workshop to help equip parents on how to sit down and read with their children. The goal is not just to read but to actually understand what they are reading.
In order for us to do this we need supplies, such as snacks for our students, bookmarks so that they can look forward to reading their book, and educational board games to make learning fun for the kids!
