Equipping Our Algebra and Computer Science Classroom for Success

Help me give my students pencils, notebooks, sticky notes, an electric sharpener, laminating sheets, and supply containers so they’re organized, prepared, and fully equipped for daily success in Algebra and Computer Science.

My Project

A successful classroom starts with the right tools—and for many of my Algebra 1 and Computer Science students, those basic supplies can make all the difference.

As we prepare for the 2025–2026 school year, I’m seeking your support to provide essential materials that will keep our classroom organized, creative, and ready for learning.

Many of my students cannot afford basic supplies like pencils and notebooks, which we use daily for solving math problems and writing reflections in our computer science journals.

We also need sticky notes and anchor chart posters to encourage collaboration and sharing ideas during Algebra 1 and Computer Science discussions, and an electric sharpener so students can stay focused without worrying about broken pencils. Laminating sheets will allow me to create reusable, long-lasting Algebra reference charts to post on our math wall—giving students visual support throughout the year. Finally, crayon and pencil containers will help us stay neat and organized, minimizing distractions and helping students take responsibility for classroom tools.

These materials will serve over 100 students across both subjects. Your support will not only prepare us for daily learning but also foster a classroom environment that promotes independence, engagement, and pride in their work.
